Arrival Day!  WOW!  It’s nice to be back in El Salvador.
Drove to Raleigh Thursday night to be ready for our 7am departure.  Uneventful.

We woke up at 4am and left the hotel by 5am.  Flights were uneventful.  Met the group from Indiana in Atlanta airport.  Arrived in San Salvador airport at 1pm.  We had 4 suitcases of medicines for the week.  After hassling with customs for 1 ½ hours we finally cleared customs with all our medicine in tow.  Another mission group was not so lucky.  They did not have the correct paperwork and had to leave 12 boxes of medicine at the airport.  Hopefully they will be able to get it through on Saturday.  Hopefully this new “law” to tax incoming medicines (started January 1, 2010) will not be a stumbling block for those of us trying to help in El Salvador.

Ride from airport to Casa Concordia was smooth other than the traffic.  It was great to set eyes upon the guest house again.  Doña Trini met us with open arms as if we had just been here last week.  Our group took some time to settle in before heading to dinner at a restaurant not too far from Casa Concordia.

After dinner a little socializing, but mainly to bed early to catch up on some much needed sleep.  I am looking forward to a great week with both new and old friends.
